Garmin Hires Train-ee

I’m very happy to announce that Garmin - a global leader in the GPS navigation, communication and sonar device industry - has hired Train-ee to lead ExpressionEngine training for its staff.

I’ll be spending a week of August at Garmin’s headquarters in Olathe, Kansas teaching a mixed team of IT, Marketing and Communication folks the essentials for developing websites using EE.

My greatest fear at this point is getting lost trying to find the conference room…;)

Doug and I interviewed for them about 12 years ago when we first moved to KC.

If you have time, dinner is on us. :)

Thanks folks!  I’m excited about it - funny what you can do from the corner of a basement. ;)

Sue I should be able to take you up on that!  Will contact you next week.

That’s awesome.
Does the current http://www.garmin.com use EE, that would be a persuasive argument in expressionEngine’s favor.

“tzCpEe” : remember there’s a Firefox extension that allows you to find wether any particular website is currently using EE :

ExpressionEngine Detector 0.9.0

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/11676

Good luck Mike (and after that, try to convince Tom Tom !)

Belay that : here’s what I just found :

“@Marc - I’m not sure I trust that add-on. The author is lying about his location on his domain address registration. He says he lives in Bend, OR and he used EllisLab’s business address to register the domain. He does not work for us, he is not in Bend, OR and I’d say its a fair bet his name is not Richard.

Personally I wouldn’t install anything where the author isn’t honest about his identity and goes so far as to take part of someone else’s.

So I guess nobod should be using this aformentionned plugin.

Apologies to the community.
