ePub Version

Just an update on the ePub version of Building an ExpressionEngine 2 Site - Small Business.

I’ve submitted the book for conversion via Lulu.com and that process is said to take 4-6 weeks.  The book also goes against most of the their guidelines for ePub conversion which essentially seemed to boil down to “use one font, as little formatting as possible, with no illustrations”.  So I won’t be surprised if they came back with additional costs or time needed for the conversion.

Just out of curiousity, have you considered taking the word doc, passing it to someone with iWork `09, and using the new .epub publishing feature to see what the end result is?

No - Lulu seemed like the easiest route since I was already publishing the print version there.  I assume their process would be roughly the same?

Entirely possible, Mike. I just didn’t know if Pages would work well for what you’re trying to do, in less time.

No clue.  Honestly I’m frustrated with having to create another version to maintain, and just don’t have the time to investigate all the options at the moment with trying to get out on the road.
