30 - Hooking up the Wimpy Player in ExpressionEngine
The Flash-based Wimpy Player is a slick, simple way to let web site visitors listen to .MP3 files right on your website. In this chapter I’ll cover how to implement it within ExpressionEngine as a way to let visitors to the church site listen to the audio messages.
29 - Getting the Audio Messages on the Website
I’ve been talking about Podcasts all along, but there are actually three ways I want to let people consume the mythical recordings of our pretend church pastors - with a “play” button right on the the website, a link to download the .MP3 file, and a true Podcast that wraps the .MP3 files in an RSS feed. In this chapter I’ll cover the first one.
28 - Beginning the ExpressionEngine Podcast
In this chapter I’ll cover getting the EE components necessary to store and describe the sermon message audio files in place. This will set the stage for podcasting using an “all-native-EE” approach.
27 - Podcasts in ExpressionEngine - Build or Rent?
Looking to build a podcast or archive of audio files on your ExpressionEngine site? You essentially have two options - build it all within EE, or rent some capabilities from an Application Service Provider (ASP) and integrate their output into your EE-based site. In this chapter I’ll look at the advantages and disadvantages of each approach and lay out the direction for the sample Church Site I’m building.
26 - Finishing the Photo Gallery
In this chapter I’ll cover completing the church site Photos section. To do this I’ll get the Lightbox script in place and configured, update the photos templates, and move gallery related styles into the site master stylesheet.
