Intro to ExpressionEngine - Portland
Totally new to ExpressionEngine? Get a leg up on the learning curve in this 8-hour whirlwind ExpressionEngine Primer.
We’ll cover the basics, code some DRY templates, look at EE’s categories and relationships, install some add-ons, and tweak EE for best performance.
- Working knowledge of (X)HTML and CSS
- A Laptop
- MAMP/WAMP installed
- ExpressionEngine installed
This class will be taught by Michael Boyink.
Michael has been teaching ExpressionEngine classes for over three years, has worked on dozens of ExpressionEngine-based websites, wrote a book on ExpressionEngine 2, produced the first commercial EE screencasts, and has been a speaker at ExpressionEngine conferences.

- Learn what tools EE has for content storage
- Learn to build DRY templates
8:00 am - 12:00 pm on the 15th
- Practice coding with variables, conditionals, and categories
- Install & use add-ons
- Improve site performance
- Learn 404 Handling
